My earliest memories of hearing about the Bible were not compelling - it sounded dry, ancient and crusty.  Thankfully, I later met some folks who were genuinely excited and passionate about the Scriptures.  I now know that God's Word is alive and is actively at work intending to transform us into the image of Christ's character.  Even though we are separated by thousands of years of time,  thousands of miles of distance and vast cultural differences from the Biblical events and characters, it is my purpose in life to get people into those stories and to make the Bible come alive.
